It's time to rethink the way we approach conflict situations.

A gender perspective is necessary if we are to devise and implement strategies to address the immediate needs of  communities affected by conflict. An understanding of the role of  gender in conflict will also allow us to make a lasting contribution to peace building and economic recovery and development.

Goals
  • Participants will have introduced themselves to each other and shared their expectations of the course;
  • Participants will understand the purpose of the course, the structure and methodology of the different modules and how they relate to each other, and what will be covered in each module;
  • Participants will appreciate how the course structure provides an environment where participatory learning is possible.
