- Participants will apply the concepts introduced earlier in the course regarding gender, IHL, and HR to examples of war and armed conflict on civilian populations.
- Participants will be aware of:
- how the impacts of war and armed conflict on civilian populations are gendered and how and why they affect women, men, girls, and boys differently;
- how the multiple forms of violence in war and armed conflict are gendered;
- the importance of gender perspectives in planning and implementing responses in the overall effectiveness of a PSO;
- the logic to gender-based violence;
- the different PSO actors that would have responsibility for specific PSO issues.
