Conflict does discriminate.

When life begins to return to "normal", different members of the affected community will have different needs, and bear different scars, based on their sex. To be successful, post-conflict reconstruction efforts must integrate a gender perspective in their actions and interventions.

Participants will be aware that post-conflict situations and post-conflict reconstruction efforts have gender dimensions.
Participants will understand that being aware of the gendered impacts and consequences of post-conflict situations enhances peacekeepers' ability to design and implement appropriate actions and interventions.
