Understanding will help us do our jobs more effectively. In any conflict situation, a thorough understanding of the impact of gender will allow PSO personnel to better respond to individual and community needs, plan more appropriate responses, and meet mission objectives. It will also prevent us from accidentally doing harm, and increase the possibility of sustainable peace.
